Ocean Isle Beach is one of the premiere beaches in Brunswick County. Being a smaller island provides a sense of exclusiveness and community feel. The island of Ocean Isle Beach stretches 5 miles from the Shallotte River Inlet on the east end to the Tubbs Inlet on the west end.
On the West end of the island, you find the only high rise building on the Brunswick County beaches, this high rise condo building was constructed in 1983 and shortly after the Brunswick County commissioners put out a regulation stating no more high rise buildings could be built on the barrier islands. This has prevented the Brunswick County beaches from becoming a heavy tourism area similar to a Myrtle Beach. No high rise hotels are what makes Brunswick County beaches so beautiful.
The coast of Ocean Isle Beach is lined with gorgeous beach homes that make excellent rental or vacation properties. There are many real estate opportunities at Ocean Isle including condos, single family homes, and rental properties with many properties being on water.
